Special rates are available to Congress attendees at the various hotels listed on the ACHE 2020 Congress Hotels Page. Please make your reservations directly with the Congress hotels online or over the phone. The first night's room deposit and tax will be charged to your credit card at the time the reservation is made. To receive special hotel rates, notify the hotel that you are attending ACHE's Congress on Healthcare Leadership by referencing the codes on the ACHE 2020 Congress Hotels Page. The deadline to receive special rates is Feb. 27, 2019. Be advised that, due to heavy demand, rooms will likely sell out prior to this date.

Taxi Service

Congress hotels are located approximately 17 miles from O’Hare International Airport and 11 miles from Midway International Airport. Taxi fares to/from O’Hare range between $40 and $50 and to/from Midway between $30 and $40. Taxi stands at both airports are located outside of the baggage claim area.


Public Transportation

For traveling by rail, Union Station in downtown Chicago is served by Amtrak, with daily trains from the east (New York and Boston), south (New Orleans), west (California and Seattle), and north (Milwaukee and Minneapolis).

For public transit, the Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) and the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) operate buses, commuter trains and rapid transit throughout the metropolitan area. The CTA offers a rapid transit train from O’Hare airport to the Chicago Loop area on a 24-hour basis. The O’Hare/Loop rapid transit train (the Blue Line) is located in the lower level between terminals 2 and 3, and the cost is $5. Travel time to the downtown hotels is approximately one hour.

The Orange Line from Midway Airport to downtown is accessed by following airport signage to the station, and it operates from 4 a.m.–1 a.m. on weekdays and 4:30 a.m.–1 a.m. on weekends. Travel time to the downtown hotels is approximately 35 minutes and costs $3.
